Rhoanne McPherson joined Concept Life Sciences in 2017 as a Principal Scientist, specializing in immuno-oncology and autoimmune inflammation. Her expertise and leadership quickly earned her a promotion to Associate Director of Operations, where she oversaw the day-to-day activities of the Translational Biology team. Recently, Rhoanne has been promoted to Translational Biology Services Director, a role in which she leads the people, projects, and operations at the Edinburgh site, ensuring scientific excellence and operational efficiency.
Rhoanne earned her PhD in 2012 from the University of Edinburgh, building a strong foundation in immunology during her post-doctoral research focused on immune pathology mechanisms and potential therapeutic interventions. Her expertise includes checkpoint inhibitors and their role in inducing and maintaining T-cell tolerance. She has also been instrumental in advancing Concept’s innovative in vitro assay platforms, driving the development of cutting-edge immunotherapy drug discovery solutions.
